Tubal Ligation

Abstract
At Yon Sei university hospital 309 cases of tubal ligation have been presented. Among. them, 72,4 were abdominal procedures and remaining 27,6% were vaginal procedures.
These cases were seen at Yon Sei university hospital from August, 1. 1958 to July, 31, 1964.
The main indications for tubal ligations were as follows: multiparity 90.5%. medical¢¥ indications 5.5%, obstetrical indications 2.0%, and gynecological indications 2.0%,
The postpartum tubal ligation was ¢¥ one of the most convenient method which performed usually; on post partum Ist day.
General anesthesia was-performed in majority of cases.
3 cases of post operative complications were encountered among 85 cases of vaginal tubal ligation.
In the post operative follow up. only a few unfavourable effect of sterilization on sexual activity and menstrual cycles were reported. 95.3% of the operated cases : were please with the results of the tubal ligation
No failures following tubal ligation were encountered.
